The Spiritual Nurture Commission

The Spiritual Nurture Commission works to promote spirituality and
fellowship of individual members and the church as a whole.

The Commission works in conjunction with the Women’s
Fellowship preparing and decorating for various dinners and social
occasions,including Congregational Business Meetings, Baptisms,
the Board Reorganizational meeting, and the annual Advent
luncheon.

We host, at our discretion, a Christmas party for the children of our
church or an All Church Birthday Party.

We coordinate speakers for the Lenten Studies/Services, which are
held on Wednesday’s six weeks prior to Easter, and church retreats
whenever there is a need.

We host the All Church Picnic held in June and Bring-a-Friend
Sundays as  scheduled.

The Sunday “Eatin’ Out” group is coordinated by the commission.
This group meets at various restaurants after the worship service on
the first Sunday of the month from beginning in the fall and ending in
the spring. All are welcome. This groups takes a needy family with
them and pays for their meal.

Bible study classes are developed by the commission and the Secret
Prayer Partner group is organized by it.

Our Commission sponsors the Coffee Time each Sunday   morning.
Volunteers are needed to host Coffee Time each   Sunday. Those
interested in helping may sign up on a sheet posted by the kitchen.

The Spiritual Nurture Commission oversees the We Care committee,
the work of the Deacons and Parish Nurses, and the Prayer Chain.
We are responsible for publication of the annual Church Directory,
the periodic updating of the pictorial directory, updating membership
rolls as necessary, and for Messenger subscriptions.
