Micah’s Backpack

The Service and Outreach Commission has partnered with Otterbein UMC, Pangborn Elementary School and Ruth Ann Monroe Primary School in the "Micah's Backpack" ministry.
Micah's Backpack is a free ministry that helps children to eat more healthy meals and snacks through a partnership between an elementary school and a local church. Breakfast, lunch and dinner foods are sent home on weekends with identified students in need.
A list of needs is printed in the weekly announcements, or can be obtained by email from the church office. If you are willing to help pack these backpacks and deliver them to the school, contact the church office at 301-733-3598. Our church has been assigned to five students at Ruth Ann Monroe Primary School, which is located on Yale Drive in Hagerstown.
