Journeying with Christ - Serving Our Neighbors - Uniting at the Master’s Table

Worship Commission

The Worship Commission is responsible for providing an inspiring
worship experience for all who pass through our church doors. To
achieve this goal the responsibilities for preparing for the services
are divided among the members of the Commission.

The Music Program consists of adult Temple Choir, and the
children's Jubilee Choir. These groups contribute to our music
program at least once a month. Periodically, other instrumental and
vocal soloists, ensembles, and the Mulberry Brass quintet minister
to us with their special musical gifts during regular and special
worship events.

We began offer two worship services - a contemporary service at
9:30 am and a more traditional service at 11:00 AM. The
Contemporary Service is less formal with music consisting of praise
songs, drama, scripture, prayer, a message by the Pastor, sharing
of joys and concerns, an offering, and a final blessing. This service
is led by a worship team composed of members of our
congregation. We are currently in the process of trying to make this
more of a mission and outreach ministry rather than just an
alternative worship time, and a number of ideas are being
considered.

Both services are planned around the same theme and scripture
chosen by Pastor Ed. Our goal is to give the congregation a
different approach for worshipping as well as providing an
opportunity for those who may not feel comfortable in the more
formal setting at 11:00am. We welcome people of all ages to
participate. Please invite inactive members and friends to come and
worship with us at the time of their choice.

The Worship Commission welcomes any suggestions - either
problems or compliments - that you would like to express. Please
write them on one of the pew cards, sign it, and place it in the
offering plate. By communicating and working together we will be
able to accomplish our mission as a congregation and make the
church more like Jesus envisioned it.
